Repeatability first
Process planning, workholding and inspection are approached with the next batch in mind — not just getting one job out the door.
RSP CNC • BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA
CNC machining for businesses that need repeatable parts, responsive lead times and a supplier who is invested in making the next batch better than the last.
THE RSP APPROACH
RSP CNC is a lean Brisbane machine shop focused on precision components, repeat production and practical turnaround.
We deliberately stay close to the work. That means direct communication, fast decisions and a strong focus on the details that matter once a part becomes recurring: workholding, setup time, cycle time, consistency and reliable supply.
We are not trying to be the biggest shop. We are building a responsive production partner for customers who value a supplier that learns their parts and keeps improving the process.
Process planning, workholding and inspection are approached with the next batch in mind — not just getting one job out the door.
Lean overheads and direct communication help shorten lead times while keeping the manufacturing process controlled.
We look for the machining strategy that makes sense over the life of the part, including setup reduction and cycle-time improvement.
CAPABILITY
Our current shop combines CNC milling, 4th-axis work and high-precision 2-axis CNC turning. The value is not simply the machines — it is using them intelligently to reduce handling, control variation and build repeatable production processes.
Precision vertical milling for aluminium and general engineering components, including multi-operation production work.
3-AXIS / PRODUCTION MILLINGRotary machining for features around a component, reducing setups and helping maintain feature-to-feature consistency.
FEWER SETUPS / BETTER FLOWHigh-precision 2-axis turning for repeat components. On suitable production work, our lathe routinely holds dimensional variation within 5 microns across repeated runs.
2-AXIS / MICRON-LEVEL REPEATABILITYA core strength of the shop, with an emphasis on surface finish, reliable cycle time and repeatability across production batches.
STRONG ALUMINIUM FOCUSWHERE WE ADD THE MOST VALUE
RSP is deliberately geared toward repeat and production machining rather than filling the schedule with unrelated one-off jobs.
STRONG FIT
LESS OF A FOCUS
ON THE FLOOR
RSP's current machining cell is centred around a Haas VM-2 with 4th-axis capability and an ACE LT-20 2-axis CNC lathe. The lathe is a particular strength for tight-tolerance repeat work, routinely holding within 5 microns on suitable production components.
The shop is intentionally lean. The people discussing the job are close to the programming, setup and machining, which keeps feedback loops short and makes it easier to respond when production requirements change.
FROM RFQ TO REPEAT ORDER
Good repeat work should become more predictable, not start from zero every time the purchase order arrives.
Drawing, model, material, tolerances, quantity and the real requirements of the part.
Machining strategy, workholding and operation flow are developed with repeat production in mind.
The job is manufactured with consistency, turnaround and practical inspection built into the process.
Recurring work is reviewed for opportunities to reduce handling, setup and cycle time on future batches.
